See our future plans!

In the spring of 2010, the following students at the University of Rhode Island developed a Master Plan for The Greene School to use as we plan our facility on the W. Alton Jones Campus. They were taught and guided by Professor William A. Green from the Department of Landscape Architecture. These college seniors did such a wonderful job, their project just received an award from the American Planning Association!

Please give a cheer for:

Kyle Alfred, Evan Andrikos, Kaila Bachman, Tom Bienkiewicz, George Christie, Samuel Cole, Lisa Costich, Kyle Cummings, Jesse Defalco, Arthur Faria, Andrew Furtado, William Gravelle, Christian Hall, Bryan Harrison, Jeffrey Kent, Chris Manteuffel, Cornelius Mccaffery, Terry Quick, Chris Saras, Kanseese Xiong.

Environmental Education and The Greene School

Sponsored by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island (www.asri.org), The Greene School is located 94 John Potter Road in West Greenwich, RI.  Our permanent green campus will be located on the W. Alton Jones Campus of the University of Rhode Island (www.uri.edu/ajc). Open to high school students from all over Rhode Island, we will bring another option for a rigorous education which prepares students for college. Our school embraces the philosophies of Expeditionary Learning Schools Outward Bound (www.elschools.org)  in developing a school and curriculum centered on environmental science and sustainability, and civic leadership. Feel free to explore our web site and to contact us if you have any questions.
